In the 1600s, the Colombian Pacific was exploited by Spanish slavers in different mining camps with enslaved Africans, on whom they imposed Catholic saints in their evangelization process. This documentary portrays the celebration of the feast of St. Anthony in a village of the same name on the Yurumanguí River in Buenaventura, observing the syncretism between the African roots of these descendants and the devotion to the Western saint.
