Pacho and Genaro are two Afro-Colombian peasants who live on the banks of the Guapi River, on a large wooden ranch where they make marimbas and drums. One day, Pacho has to build a marimba for the wake of a child who has just died. The construction of this instrument becomes a mystical experience that will change his life forever.
